The Lakes of Pontchartrain




Seemingly some people on the mothership don't know the Be Good Tanyas' version of 'The Lakes of Pontchartrain'. Also some people (including me) can't spell it.

The picture has been changed for a more benign image. You still need to watch out for alligators though.

    I love the Be Good Tanyas - have you heard Jolie Holland's version of The Littlest Birds? Superb (but I don't know how to put it on the Spill)

    Have found a link to the BGT's version of The Littlest Birds although for me the Jolie Holland version just takes it (it's on 'Catalpa" if you can find it)

    I looked her up on last.fm and listened to a few, which were very good. No Littlest Birds though. (Talking of birds I saw a spoonbill today on the beach outside my house!)
