Here's two things the internet has given me this evening:
1. This website, if you like the above picture - it's well worth a butcher's
2. This song, which is from El Guincho's side project Coconot, and is a nice bit of troplicanimalcollectivia - found on the internet's second best music blog gorrilavsbear

Thank god I'm not on that site! (Well one does have to look, doesn't one?)
with the 'frods The Walkmen recommendation.
play 'Canadian Girl'
then this track and finish with...
Mike Ladd 'Barney's Girl'
odd use of steel drum trio.
(I don't get out much.. can you tell?)
yeah... fantastic photos. .
Blimpy, that is one truly beautiful website man - how do you find these things? Or perhaps it's better not to ask...
it's the internet, man, it just comes to you, ride the snake....
Or put it this way, in the last month
27 people have ended up reading our blog after googling "dragonfly cake"
15 after googling "north sea mist"
and 13 for "virgin's first time", and an astonishing 4 for "steven wells"
(hi swells, googling yourself again eh? )
ride the snake....???
is that like chase the dragon? wag the dog? spank the monkey? pet the cat?
one person googled "songs about hats" to be led to The Spill, I'd love to know more about their quest for a hat-based playlist!
if you're reading this, o hat seeker, have you got a top-ten together? if you need some help, you;re in the right place...
that said i just googled "songs about hats" and it eventually led to Proudfoot's bold proclamation in the dragonfly cake page on July 21st::
"Songs about hats? Quite a rich seam to be dug there. I can think of loads. Well about 5 at least."
Proudfoot!!! You never followed that one up!!! And now people are knocking on our door wanting to know about songs about hats!!
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold

Bah, Yahoo player is not picking up all the Boxtr tunes again. Blimpy, do you think embedding the player in the blog template, instead of individual posts would fix this?
could do, if it's skipping over some tracks it's more likely to be that they're out of bandwidth.
I've always loved this website...Square America. Sometimes funny, sometimes beautiful. Have I mentioned it before? I like the one with faces obscured, and the one where they're in mid-air, and the photobooth, and the wierd orgy type party...
http://www.squareamerica.com/
Nope, bandwidth is ok as they play when you open an individual post in a new page.
@shoe - hmmmm. mebbe if i stick the player code in the template we won't need to stick mit in any other posts. i'll give it a try.
@steen, will check out your link ta! the dos and don't of vice magazine are always good for this people watching type of jive. they're all online.
that squareamerica site is ace! thanks for the link!!
Blimpy, I forgot to tell you how much I liked the site you linked to. It reminded me of this...

I tried to find the opening credits, with the school photos, but...it's in there somewhere--ah--about 3 1/2 minutes in. I'm assuming everybody has seen this show.
And Blimpy, have you seen the website I Like?
http://www.ilike.org.uk/
Could be a friend of yours for all I know!
i think we should add to the linkety links!!
hey steen, spot on with the freeks and geeks comaprison. is the show any good? worth watching?
Yeeeesssss!! to quote my Isaac..."I just love it so much" (Well, he wasn't talking about f&g, but it's a good phrase) You might have to be american to get it, but I don't think so. But, look, the whole thing seems to be on youTube, so it's no monetary loss to give it a try!
i've started watching "undeclared" instead.
I've never seen or heard of undeclared, but it does seem to be a lot of the same people. Yay blimpy! Yay youTube!
Yeah, but Blimpy, watch this 10 minutes and tell me you're not hooked. I don't even know who sings that come sail away song, but it's killer.
Oops...
THis 10 minutes...
