As mentioned in a prior comment - here we go Steen, these are for you..

(Video 1 also fits in with Soupus' post, I still know all the words to it, as I just proved to Mrs McF with some really bad rapping...)

  1. Cheers, Blimpy, you've just saved me from having to go root through some inaccessible boxes for the Dream Warriors single!

Thanks, McFlah. I'm still thrilled to have my pseudonym in a spill post title. After all this time you think I'd be jaded...

  8. I liked these two actually, I definitely see the connection between Filthy and DP (settle down), in the first clip it sounds like Del the Funky Homosapien.

  9. the original sampled by Dream Warriors- Hang on sloopy, by the Count Basie Orchestra, if I'm not mistaken- was one of my favourite tracks. The Dream Warriors were cool. Loved I've lost my ignorance with GURU, as well, especially the mix on the rebirth of cool series.

It's just like the Dream Warriors but with less rapping!

The Dream warriors next single plundered in a similar vein:

My parents borrowed that Count Basie LP from some swingin' friends, and I wore it out..

  14. Something jazzy to listen to while waiting for RR which reminds me of how old I am and also brings feelings of nostalgia (Eta Green Onions flavoured chips, a southern hemisphere thing, you had to be there..)
Count Basie's Green Onions from the same album as Hang on, Sloopy..

  15. Green onions!! I've only heard the Booker T version. And John Lee Hooker.

This has turned into a nice little thread. Thanks McFlah.
