Just read in The Grauniad that Hugh Hopper, late of The Wilde Flowers, Soft Machine and many more 'Canterbury Scene' bands has died. I don't have time to put any appropriate music together right now but I just wanted to share this sad news with you. One of the greats. RIP, Hugh.

I was very much into Soft Machine from Volume Two to Fourth. Hopper was the backbone of that unit during its frequent 7/4 jams. Composed much of the music, too.
