"So throw those curtains wide, One day like this a year'd see me right!"
is possibly his best yet; just crying out for huge, arms in the air, feelgood festy singalongs.

Actually I was thinking that I love how Mos Def's Casa Bey starts with s a simple funky bassline, and without me realising it, ends with horns and multiple synths, via a soaring chorus.
It seems to me with this one, its all taste in the end. I liked the Lou Christie song from the first time I heard it on release; likewise, I was delighted to hear Elenore featured heavily in the latest Richard Curtis confection (and not half a bad film to boot). I thought about including 'Keep it a secret' by Jay Jay Johanson, just for some variety, but actually its maybe even hard to nail exactly the soaring chorus idea, except that its got something to do with the overall weight the chorus has in terms of the songs impact.
As much as I love 'Dont leave me this way' for example, the soaring chorus doesnt contain the name of the song in that obvious way, so its not what I was thinking of in exactum.
The Wannadies track is much closer and even lovelier for me.
