sandy 'spill

I can't get to my destination over the RR sea.
While I'm stuck at the airport, here's a playlist that I'm very proud of.....

... sit back and waste an evening with sun, sea, 'spill and sand castles.

(WHILE I RIOT - 'COS THE FOOTIE IS SHITE! - boy am I depressed)

  5. Whoops! So bad, in fact, I obviously needed to say it twice.
    Sorry, mate.

  6. so bad I couldn't re-create Emiliana Torrini's 'Unemployed in the Summertime'
    "let's get drunk on Saturday..."
    just in case it sent me over the edge!

    I guess it can't get any worse - he says with all fingers crossed - lets just hope promotion doesn't come down to goal difference! he says with pathetic optimism . were as reality dictates relegation on the final day of the season again... months of hope dashed in two hours on a saturday afternoon.... football eh! anyone know a happy sport I can follow - like Russian roulette or something.

  8. 'life's a beach' by Studio (third from last track) is dan lissvik (and mate).. he's the bloke piecing together the Taken by Trees album.

  9. @ shane - I'd never heard that BMX Bandits version of Jonathan Richman's Summer Feeling. Not bad at all - a bit clean and soul-less perhaps but captures the mood well enough.

    Groove Jet still sounds stunning.

  11. I was staying with my brother in Felmingham and we went to the match. What was the pitch invasion about? Someone said this fan (who ran right in front of us) was doing it to throw his season ticket in the manager's face. By 7-1, it was so bad it bordered on funny.

  13. Ooh, it's a Monster. Should be able to get to this later. Enjoyed last week's joint effort - let's do it again sometime.

  14. There should be some Zinger in the a-list this week. Would like to hear more Flunk. Loads of classics - nice one.

  15. finally got enough time to listen to the whole lot today, a veritable summer feast!

    I really really liked Neutral Milk Hotel, Studio (is that really the name of the band/DJ?) and both Earl Zinger tracks.

  16. Just started to listen now, but I had to say that I love the picture. I like the Earl Zinger a lot, so far.

  17. @toffeeboy
    glad it didn't offend too much (these fan(atics) get a bit touchy some times)

    @blimpy
    sympathies on the laptop death.. shall leave them up for a bit longer.

    @mnemonic
    still not finding it funny.. although when Yeovil stuff us in the crap beer cup tonight the manic laugh might just be mine.. although the black humour about Michael Theoklitos (our Keeper) being the only Australian that can't catch, did amuse me.

    @shoey
    I enjoyed the joint one too. but not up to speed with a dying computer at the moment is seriously restricting.
    This would be have been great to nominate songs for.. but haven't made it into RR at all this weekend... I could have smashed Steens A list record in one go - Couldn't I?

    as for Flunk - I did have more somewhere but can only find their cover of Blue Monday.

    @japanther
    I'm glad I gave your ears a rest.. I'm off to tackle the METAL!!!!!

    yep they work under the name studio... and yes.. bloody impossible to find,
    (I believe Dorian was rating this track.. and I had to find it some how)

    cheers all for sympathies, laughter and listening....

    metal ahead.
