The View From A Desk

Uploaded by www.cellspin.net from my iPhone.

Because I'm waiting for some video to export, and because I want the Spill2K to come along - here's the view from my desk!!!

Workspaces aren't something we ever really take photos of, so I'd really like to see some pix of where the 'Spill team struts their daily action.

I remember from way back, the "where i listen to music" posts were very interesting.

The majority of my work is done just round the corner where the mac edit suites are, but a photo of that would just look like two monitors.

Over to you!!

  2. Nice post, Blimpy. I love these kinds of pictures. I'll take some pictures tonight at work. Or maybe I'll just take one of my desk at home and pretend that I'm gainfully employed when I'm 'Spilling.

  3. I've just started a new job. We have 'hotdesking'. God...

But also a lovely view of London, so that balances out. Probably can't take a picture, though. Homeland security and all that. Sheesh.

  4. Snadfrod - Like you, I think my camera would be confiscated if I tried to photograph my desk. We have a nice view of Halford's, though. We 'hotdesk' too but as I'm usually there (sigh) I have my own desk. Except when I'm on hols, like now. So it is probably being used by Desperate Dan (his real name).

  5. Nilp: Tell me again how you post a pic in comments, I'll save it this time.

  6. Goneforeign, use the "link" button in a Guardian Unlimited comment, copy and paste the piece of code it generates into the blogger dialogue box, and fill in your own hyperlink and text.

  7. Sadly, despite being located in a building with a fascinating history and interesting architecture, the office is kept entirely featureless. A combination of hotdesking and a clear-desk policy means that the space is wholly depersonalised. As with Snafrod's workplace though, the view of London is glorious.

  8. This is what my clients see, and I do too, when they're not there. It's not so bad but I wish I could see this instead.

  12. Belated contribution, partly to test Nilp's advice about links. And partly 'cos I'm always nosey, and so ought to allow for others to do the same! My photo is artfully angled to exclude the "bomb-hit-it" look that is the reality of my study.

As I am semi-retired, my only real desk is at home - lookee HERE

I assume the big curve-walled space in Blimpy's workplace is a google-style playroom!
