Grown up songs - for the over 75's!

BloodyParadise's posting of Harry Roy's 'My Girl's Pussy', got me thinking how many other 'single entendre' songs were recorded in the 30's and 40's. Here's another one I found by Lucille Bogan and another by Bo Carter.

  2. And here's me thinking that modern pop stars should make more creative effort to disguise the filth they sing about - currently in the charts are lyrics about "take a ride on my disco stick", something about sucking a lollipop, and that "poke-her-face" song that's been around for ages.

Despite the lift based video, I don't think when the Sugababes sang "push my button" they meant elevators, or did they?

  3. Any where else but the UK and "push my button" is just a promo tool - "have a badge" they are saying.. obviously.

  7. also tonight, random surfin the net has lead me to a claim about the content of a Girls Aloud song, that quite frankly is brilliantly filthy.

"Something Kinda Oooh" is a song that both my wife and 5 year old happily sing (esp in the car), and was a top 5 hit in the last year or so.

    But what's it about?

    "Something kinda ooooh
    Jumpin on my toot toot
    Something 'side of me
Wants some part of you, ooh

    Something kinda oooh
    Bumping in the back room
    Something 'side of me
    Wanting what you do, ooooh"

    Draw your own conclusions..........
