I think they're pine, actually. Random-width pine. David put them in, but some of the rooms upstairs that haven't been meddled with over the last 159 years have random-width pine floors, so we're guessing that's what was here. The dream gave me chills about ten minutes after I awoke. Dad was about the same age I am now. Glad you like the song. Will be recording it next week. Must get lots of practice in. Have to sing it a capella, and then a bunch of producers each do a different version. If the record company likes one and chooses it for the CD, I have to negotiate royalties percentages with the producer. Fingers crossed.
