Incidentally, since I missed the first part of the Chicks Who Shred series (erm, given that this year is the fortieth anniversary of the publication of The Female Eunuch, are we all totally happy with the title?), can anyone tell me if it's solely confined to indie chicks, or have I missed the chance to vote for Girlschool?
Chicks Who Shred was originally known as "pick your favourite group of guitar playing xx chromosomed humans from a selection of guitar playing xx chromosomed humans" but i thought folks would confuse it with the current band The XX.
It was mostly based on indie & alt/punk rock cos that's my field - but anyone can weigh in with whatever they like really.
I mean, seriously, how cool is Bonnie Raitt?
