Grrrls Who Shred: Quarter Final 3!

VS

It's my all time favourite Bikini Kill song going head to head with L7's bestest hit - but who is the best early 90s punk riff monster?

The L7 video I wanted to show was the legendary one from The Word which I'm not allowed to embed - you'll have to go here to watch it. Hence the Thomas version. I do recommend following the link....and why isn't there programming like The Word anymore?

  1. I'm confused; how was PJ v. Breeders a semi-final, when we've now had another three quarter-finals? And if that was a misprint for quarter-final, isn't this a bit like having Brazil v. Italy in the World Cup QF?

  2. @Abahachi - i need to clarify slightly:

The Breeders have now gone into the final, after beating PJ Harvey.

Now the winners of the 3,4 5 and 6th quarter finals will face the second place bands from the (non published) league group stages. Next is the introduction of the wild card entries, who were the runners up from last year's national CWS Challenge Cup.

After the semi-quarter finals come the demi-quart finals for a chance to get into the play-off stages that preface the super-league - the winner of which gets into the draw for the CWS final, to be picked out of a hat chosen at random from the losers of 1982's Super Hat Challenge (Romford) competition.

    Simple, no?

  3. Right... And including the Word performance by L7 is the equivalent of the Thierry Henri handball?

  4. @Abahachi - I really do wish you'd listen, it's perfectly simple.
If you're not getting your hair cut, you don't have to move
your brother's clothes down to the lower peg, you simply
collect his note before lunch after you've done your scripture
prep when you've written your letter home before rest, move
your own clothes on to the lower peg, greet the visitors, and
report to Mr Viney that you've had your chit signed. Now,
sex... sex, sex, sex, where were we?

  9. This series has been great, Blimpy... just sorry I couldn't get involved sooner. Quick donds to Sleater-Kinney, The Breeders and Electrelane (to whom, megadonds).

As for this round, it's got to be Bikini Kill for me - they rock the most.

I've always had a bit of a thing for ex-Delgados chick what shreds a little bit, Emma Pollock.
