It was excellent. Sound for Fuck Buttons was a bit off for the first couple of numbers, which dimmed the impact of Sweet Love for Planet Earth, but otherwise wonderful.
Mogwai were much more lyrical than I was expecting, less feedback than I remember from the last time I saw them (RAH two years ago). I've seen some blogs talking about ear-bleeding noise so maybe it was down to the excellence of my ear attenuators that I just thought the sound was excellent. I was on the balcony too and I always think the sound is better there at Hammersmith (and Shepeherds Buch come to that).
The cancellation was due to a member of Mogwai having his pacemaker replaced. Very rock and roll!
So, how was the gig then? (I'm still gutted they cancelled the Tokyo show.)

If I'd proof read that, I would have noticed the superfluity of "excellent" in the text. It's Monday morning; I'll try to be more careful in future.
