Better Late Than ....Shoey's Album of the Month Nov & Dec 2009

Catching up with the usual listening backlog. Which of these should be declared Shoey's album of the month(s) for Nov & Dec?. Two winners this time due to my tardiness (T-Boi's Herculean pop series got done 1st - who'd have thunk it?). It's been fun (especially after opening this up for popular vote, rather than just hoisting my picks on you all), does anyone want to keep this thing going or take this "series" on for 2010?

Shoey's Album Of The Month - Oct.

New albums from Yello, Goats & Bunnymen all in one month? Very tempting, but these are my choices for Oct. One can be declared Shoey AOTM. Over to you:

Bless Those
4 People
You Go On Ahead (Trumpet, Trumpet II)
Bonfires on the Heath
Melee

Shoey's Album Of The Month - Sept.

Real smorgasbord of stuff on offer lately. Already covered some great new stuff on the magnificent 'Spill: new old sprouts, pink, folk monsters, swim birds, twilight sad, xx and that skinny chick with the boy's name. Here's a few more for consideration - one of them must be declared Shoey's album of the month (please, please let it not be a tie again, please):

Shoey's Album of the Month - July

Oh No, got it down to 4 - but can't decide which one to go with. Here's a sample from each album, which one should be declared "Shoey's album of the month for July"? No write-ins, most votes wins.

Shoey's album of the Month - May

Was going to go with The Horrors, until I came across this piece of 80's nostalgia. Robin Guthrie (the plucker from the Cocteau Twins) has found someone else to sing some nonsense vocals to his tunes - none other than John Foxx of Ultravox. (remember his solo hit single "Underpants" from back in the day?). Here's a little taste:
Estrellita
& lest we forget:
The Spangle Maker

Shoey's album of the Month - April

Yes, it's early yet, but am prepared to go out on a limb with this one. Drum fans are in for a treat.

Shoey's album of the Month - March

Third in the non-awaited series. The Tinbox is all clogged-up so back to Boxtr for a sample of this month's pick:

Shoey's Album of the Month - Feb

Lot's of worthy contenders this month, but am going with this:
