The Spill's Ninja Stealth Undercover Reporter um reports
Some of you may have read on the motheRRship that webcore was going down to play at his allotment garden's annual open house today.
Given this week's topic, I rolled on a healthy coating of spystick and went down to see what I could capture surreytip... suratep...stirruptish..., well capture on my little mini-video recorder.
It's a song he wrote himself, and is sung here accompanied by his son Kevin on guitar. In the background prepubescent boys, representing the innocence of youth lost, kick a football, symbolizing Mother Earth and man's struggle to understand opera.

That's a stealthy video. Should I hover my computer screen over a candle?
In the past I've given up on trying to upload it directly to the blog and put it on YouTube first
Oops, I posted my sarcastic comment before I saw your cry for help. Soz.
What you could do is put the movie in the dropbox, and I can compress it on my computer.
ok, will let you know when it's in.
thanks.
sarcastic comment forgiven
36 mins it says
ok, it's done
Where? Wherewhere?!
I've really been looking forward to this, tin. So ...
Which folder?
just sorting some tech issues.
I've a video virgin
eJay, while I was waiting for it to upload I used a little utilkity for converting to iPod and got one the was small enough to upload.
Have done that
Is it ok? If not, full video is in ejay-tin folder so it doesn't clog up RRdropbox.
Oh, yeah, um, that folder... sure. It's right there, I just have to find it, give me a minute.... [cough]
OK, I'm sorry I deleted it!
It might not be needed now - the ipod version I put up seems to work. Let me know.
Yep works fine, another RR name reveals its face. I can definitely hear some XTC in here. The kids really add another dimension to the performance.
Blimey! That's impressive! And it's got me all motivated to crack on with learning to play guitar. Thankyou.
huge round of applause for webcore and son... mighty impressed.
Brilliant. Would they like to come and play at our allotment? All we get is the buzz of grass-cutters ...
Looks like it was a good day. From memory, wasn't last year's a near washout??
What a smashing film. But Webcore & Son will never make it big unless they invest in some hipper stools...
Brilliant ... :)
Although, I'm a bit worried about the frets on sonofwebcoreson's guitar; does he have the neck specially strengthened cos it looks like he could crush the whole thing going for an ambitious diminished 7th.
Do you have a band name for the Allotment Sessions tour? I dare say you've thought of a few ....
The Beet Route Boys
Green Day
Shed 7
Deep Purple Sprouting
... I'll get me trug ....
Y'see this is what I've been saying for years... allotment tours are the way to go.. no lights, no cables, no speaker columns... just plain unplugged vocal/acoustic excellence from webcore and son with trees and shrubs and wasps for the 'going green'-concert theme.
@Tatanka... yep I have it on good authority that Webcore's son has the necks and fretboards specially reinforced using aircraft grade truss rods ;o)
Brilliant video!
I always knew that Sgt Lynch was there to help me ..... but Sarge; gotta get it out of my system ...
Mott The Herbal
The Flea Beatles
Joan Kale
The Cloches
Oh and seriously, if the tour gets going, I'm up for promoting a prestigious London date in Dollis Hill.
Bean Pole Tudor
Pea Wee Ellis
Digible Plantbeds
Coldframe
Crowded Greenhouse
Pink (Fir Apple) - or the Husker Du album, Pink Fir Apple Grey
Nine Inch Snails
Ike & Tina Turnip
Nope, can't top Digible Plantbeds
No Shoey, Ike & Tina Turnip wins for me.
Really good to see this ! Thanks webcore & tin.
Like it

rattlemart
This could be the start of a new series.
There was unplugged
The blackcab sessions
now, the allotment tapes (although kids might well ask what a tape is)
