Hey hey, Boxstr's working. Starting with your (excellent btw) Broken Social Scene song, Shane, I've got a mere 34 tracks to get through whilst watching the rest of MotD.

Hmmm, note to self: don't mention the football when I meet gordonimmel at EUREKA! in the morning.

I don't think any of us want to dwell on the football too much at the moment do we?

Aren't you a bit old for "Hands on science museums" ?!?! Or is this a gap in your knowledge you are filling...

EUREKA!'s only 3 miles down the hill from me, and we go quite often as both girls love it.

But this one's a mini RR-Social. DaddyPig's lot can't make it, but DarceysHouse and die Immel Familie are meeting Ali/Hubby/SonMunday for a couple of hours of pretend M&S shopping & softshape igloo building. With any luck we're then heading off for a mass lunch which will give us the chance to buy AliM an early birthday drink or three.

Chip in a early Birthday Drinks token from me Dsd.. that is quite a family RR day out.

Will do, Shane. Of course, before we even meet, I've got a mile swim to get in in the morning, so I'd better get away to bed.

Nice graphic, there was a similar scene today in Art Attack, with a similar goalkeeper scene made up as a collage of jerseys, boots etc. Ever think of getting Mcmallett a trial at White Hart Lane, btw?

Saneshane,I was drawn by the mention of Shepton Mallet (being from the West Country meself). Thank you for the virtual drink, we failed to get as far as lunch but Eureka was fun! Good to meet everyone - such nice people.
Cheers!

Saneshane (and others) thought you might like this site. It's animated monsters all over amsterdam. We watched a lot of them with the boys, but they do get a bit...gross, with pooping, snottiness and puke, so you might want to preview.

Tell us more about this RR social! And post pictures!!

Oops, Not Amsterdam, Antwerp. Sorry.

Glad those that went to Eureka had fun and yes we want pictures....

@Ali
Mallet/Mallett is a common Norfolk name so everybody gets told their kid is going to be called Shepton.. when I lived in Bournemouth we'd do a lot of west country free festies.. the rhymes came from the mad van journeys passing time til we got there.. it is still supposed to be made into a little kiddie book.. one day!

@nilf he could play for spurs.. couldn't give you any more stress than you got already.

@steen fab monsters...

have you seen:
http://www.bio-bak.nl/

burping- swearing- puking (look before kids see- my little-un just goes "open the tool box" continually) genius 1000 megapixel site.. if anyone designs web sites out there.. how do you do this?

@DsD did you swim the mile?.. and if you did.. you have to do it every time Liverpool play now.. other wise the LUCK will end.... (fitness regime motivator uses emotional blackmail card- to fit in with the theme)

@ Shane - because we didn't get as far as lunch, I'm afraid there are no pictures from today.

Re my swim - Ha! No, overslept ('til 0750), which wouldn't have left time to get the bus to the pool, swim, shower, and leave to meet at 10am. So, on the one hand I'm now down by a swim and will have to do consecutive days tomorrow and Tuesday to make it up. On the other hand, if oversleeping, being lazy, going out with friends and kids, having a fast food lunch and an afternoon nap is what I need to do to ensure 2-0 wins for the rest of the season, THEN SIGN ME UP FOR THAT!!

As for the mile itself, I'm only a week into re-booting my swim regime. Did a kilometre on Day 1 (56lengths x 18m pool), and have been adding a few lengths at a time: today should have been the 90 required for a mile. 3 years ago I was thrice-weekly doing a mile-and-a-half per go; not bad for a fat lad!

Anyway, must go now. I've got three discs from AliM to rip to the hard-drive, then copy for Gordon. Ali has now got all the RR Social discs to date, so I'll repeat my warning that there may be some frustrated calls for artists/titles to songs I haven't properly tagged.

@ that sums up my luck
even virtual motivation back fires!

Presumed you would have little 'uns in tow - spent many enjoyable afternoons in there with my 2 ( past tense -they'd object now being 17 +22)- and it's the only thing to have ever taken me to Halifax (save an anti-BNP demo in Dewsbury...)- is there a RR enclave in West Yorks then?

@Saneshane - get that book written!!

@gremlinfc - we're planning to take over the world from our underground lair in Batley ... little 'uns are being indoctrinated even as we speak, by enforced listening to all the RR Social disks to date plus my dodgy folk collection ...

A really great choice Shane, especially The Broken Social Scene and Skuobhie Dubh (Scooby Doo?) Orchestra, what a quirky little gem!

Big up the Skuobhie Dubhs (Kenny!) and I haven't really heard a Teenagers song I don't like yet.
