One of my Xmas presents was a book of stories from the NewsBiscuit website (http://newsbiscuit.com/ ). Samples:
- Dolphins 'Stop Smiling The Moment Our Backs Are Turned' - EU Rule That Germany Must Have Shorter Nouns - Bond Villain's Missile Silo 'Did Not Have Planning Permission' - Cancer Victim Was Neither Brave Nor Well-Liked - Parents To Be Notified If Their Children Are Working Class - Suicide Bomber Sees Himself 'More In A Management Role' - Canal-Boat Chase Ends In Capture After Eight Days - Rosa Parks 'Was Victim Of Superglue Prank' - New Car To Be Powered By Anger - 'Hilarious' YouTube Clip Not Actually That Funny
The Onion is unimpeachable, but http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/ is worth an occasional browse too...
I got a book for Christmas called 'Pop Charts' by Paul Coperwaite - pop songs translated into graph/chart form. It's hard to explain but VERY funny. Have a look at the front page and you'll get the general gist...
Brilliant spoof. As with all good spoofs, it is built round the truth - in this case the embarrassing plausibility that Apple nuts like us would drool over almost anything they choose to put on the market.
The item also filled the yawning chasm of new announcements at the Mac Expo. Perhaps Apple engineers are all too busy working on a new personal cancer detector/remover.
But the good news is that iTunes is going DRM-free. So no more laborious converting of copy protected songs via iMovie before I can upload them to the 'Spill. (I'm scraping the barrel looking for the bright side here...)
@ shiv - I also got the News Biscuit book for christmas. Excellent stuff - but I do have a vested interest in it as both my brothers were involved in its creation (the book and the website).

My personal favourite is a flow chart that goes something like:
BOB
'
WOMAN NO WOMAN
' '
CRY NO CRY
But it's hard to describe, like I say. Cough...
Oh heck, the formatting worked in the post-box. Imagine it separated out as a flow chart with arrows etc. Or just ignore it. Sigh.

Oh, and I like the way the Onion has finally nailed the technical term for what I use my Mac for: "dicking about..."
"The Onion" has beefed up it's production values, since I last checked. Watch out for that Soduku killer.

1. I was hoping for a mac mini that i could use as my home entertainment hub - mebbe next time.
2. I've still never paid for an mp3, ever.....
i emailed the video to a friend of mine, who owns macs, and works with them too - and they didn't weren't sure if it was a send up or not.
spot on The Onion! respect.
If Apple made spoof news items, they'd be as good as that. Hey, maybe Apple DID help with it?
I am sooooo going to get all the geeks I know with this. I know at least one who will swallow it... Brilliant! Cackle...
