Cheers Shoey, I've been meaning to look at White Denim for a while now. Obviously I understand that this track isn't representative of them as a whole, but its a damn fine start!
One question, though, regarding Sunn O))): is it really something that you can listen to devotedly and enjoy, or is it more like something you need to appreciate and understand to see how it succeeds? I'm keen to check it out, but don't know if I have enough time to devote to bass drone right now...
When I'm in the mood for it, I absolutely love Sunn0))). I did see them live before I bought a record, though. Get some ear attenuators (non-distortion earplugs) and get down by the speakers. FEEL that bass.
Haven't listened to the new Sun O))) enough yet, but they have changed things up with lot's of guest musicians & texture changes, along with the usual dirge metal that you'll either love or hate. Their tracks tend to clock in over 15 minutes. Well worth a try.

Ooh, I do like White Denim. Is the rest of the album as good?
You certainly get some variety, once you get past that, it's great.
I agree about the White Denim. Should be too noisy to enjoy, but its not somehow.
Probably just as well that I didn't go with Sun O))) then.
