Japanther commanded, and I obliged:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Hope you like it, sorry about the ums and ahs and the slurping, and remember that English is not my native language, so I have immunity.
By the time posts, I'll be on the other side of the Channel, so if I don't respond straight away, I'm not being rude. See y'all next week.

Thanks for this - found it lingering in drop-box last night - especially for making me dig out my Barrington Levy albums, haven't listened to him for years.
man... you have to go a long way down the page to find this!!!
I listened yesterday afternoon and it's great EjD.. (I was fiddling on dropbox and noticed you uploading)
I liked track starting pt3 a lot.. and the Beck, (like the Chemical Bros mentioned on SKP and JPs I end up with lots of his albums then don't get round to listening much) will listen again..
the slurping umming and arrrring is just fine.. but your vocals might have put me off ever putting my weedy voice on a podcast..
a true joy and very summery.
enjoy your trip.. we drove round parts of France at the start of our holiday - we even got around to going in mont-st michel- sunshine music and the French countryside.. lovely stuff.
(ps. can't believe you're doing a social the one weekend we'll be at a festie.. oh well)
Finally!
Can't wait to listen. Will put it on the iPod for tomorrow forthwith....
Hurray! That's on the list for tonight when I get home. Looking forward to it...
Why are you going to France eJay?
HM need someone rubbing out?
Perhaps best not to say, come to think of it. Go for the crouissants. I think they are still in bloom this time of year.
Ahh..the old Post-and-Run. I'm downloading yours and listening to Japanther & SKP's as I type.
Have you seen this?

I've been thoroughly enjoying listening to these this afternoon. Some really great music and I wouldn't worry about your voice. At least it's good and deep; the first few times I listened back to myself on the radio, I sounded like Vera Duckworth. I think the um-ing and ah-ing is only to be expected doing a podcast sat at home. It can't be like doing a radio show, where you're kinda speaking to people right there and then; it doesn't have the same immediacy and focus, so I reckon it's a fine effort. Love the E-Jay-Dee-dee-dee jingle at the beginning!
Love those Wu Tang Blue Note covers, steenbeck.
I did some similar patsiches for some mixes a friend did recently:

pastiches, even.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss! Finally!!!
Very nice, BaBe. VEry nice indeed.
Nice 'cast, ejay, even if I did find I'm An Indian intensely irritating.
Have a good trip ... or, I hope you had a good trip I suppose, by the time you read this.
great stuff ejay - a good varied mix of tunes that were all new to me and that nice resonant voice, without a trace of an accent. brilliant!
But, is anyone else having trouble with part 3? I can't seem to download all of it, I only get the first 10 minutes or so...
Great podcast, ejay. I told Japanther that we needed a jingle, but he told me I'd have to sing one, so I was very impressed that you'd put one together.
I really enjoyed the mix of songs too.
Thanks for listening everyone, the jingle is the reason I started the podcast.
Loved the covers Steenbeck, I might change a few of mine now.
Shane, shame you can't make it, but when you think about it, a social is almost like a festie. Almost.
We're going to a wedding, Tin, down south.
since hearing more and more spillers' podcasts, i now read (in my head) comments in their accents - does anyone else do this?
(people's voices I don't know get read in my own "head-voice" accent, (apart from Speng who sounds a bit like a coarser Leslie Phillips to me)
I loooooove this! It's strange and sort of funny to hear a podcast by the one 'Spiller who I've heard in real life. I love all the music. I'm only 2/3 of the way through. I have to go out so I'll save the rest for later. Loved the Soul Brothers, beautiful! And is that dilla? And Desmond? "Broader than Barrington Levy, Believe me" I loved the Derondo (is that how it's spelled?)--especially his voice, as you mentioned. A little rough, but smooth too. And what was that piece that straddled 2 & 3--Detroit something? Loved the Bass and the Horns. (Doesn't get much better than that, right?) Have to go. More later.
(Oh, of course thanks again for Melocoton, and I love that Louis Armstrong, too.)
I'm listening and diggin it the most Ejay, really is top stuff!
Ah...it's no good, I still can't get Part 3, it just downloads it the same weird way each time.
Any chance somebody could e-mail me a "clean" MP3 of Part 3? It would be very much appreciated.
JP, I can mail you it, if you want to put your email address in a text file in Dropbox.
EJ, great 'cast, your voice sounds just like I thought it would.. laid back style suits the playlist perfectly. Highlights for me were the Louis Armstrong and the Detroit Experiment- awesome!
Hope you have a nice time in France.
@nilpferd - thanks for the kind offer, but i'm afraid i've no idea how to do it! Do I just create a new folder and try to put it in from there?
Just upload a text file with your address directly to the Pets folder on dropbox, I'll delete it right afterwards. Or you might have my email address already in one of the chain emails someone has sent.
EJ, I just ordered the Detroit Experiment album, *trivia corner* it looks like the trumpeter is Marcus Belgrave- he also played on the McCoy Tyner track which finished up my podcast..
Really looking forward to the celebrity gossip in your second 'cast, btw..
Finally finished it, and it was excellent in every way. I liked that Beck track. It's funny, I have two albums by him, but I don't seem to listen to them very often.
I did like that Detroit Experiment track a lot. I read a bit about the Detroit Experiment and it's fellow experiment The Philadelphia Experiment. (WIth ?uest Love!) They are both very intriguing. Must search further...
