Is this a new Gremlinspeak way of letting me know I missed one of your noms & that you got there 1st? Sorry if that's the case. It didn't make the playlist this week as it was posted back on Sept 5. Can't have the 'Spill with as many repeats as the BBC can we?
No not at all -you merely put a Laibach track on your list of noms and they're one of those bands that although i quite liked them in the 80s , trying to find anyone else who's even heard of them is like trying to find rocking horse shit...I didn't nom anything for holidays due to me being on holiday(the irony...)and i have forgotten all my noms already for this as i was keeping my eyes open with matchsticks(think made my last one at 4 a.m. but haven't got a clue what it was...).
This post has the potential of Sgt Pepper's album cover, if you dbl click it, it'll get big enough for you to recognise the individual images, so who can recognise the most albums? Not me, I can see Bob and Nora Jones and the Police and Marvin Gaye. There's 650 of 'em so who can get the other 646, those of you who can read have an advantage since some of em have the names on 'em, for those we need specifics. Glad I don't have to re-file that lot!
@ Shoey - where did you get the album cover image from? It must have been put together by someone with similar tastes to mine - I recognise about a third of the covers!
Bloody hell, is that the Manics doing Umbrella? Say it is! Just love Elbow's Independent Women, even more os with the rathergood flat-capped kitties singing it!
Nilp, the cover is by Dead Weather - the latest Jack White (of White Strpes) side project with wotshername from The Kills on vocals. Original by Tubeway Army.
"Umbrella" is amazing, could easily be a Manics song! Testament to what a great tune the original is. Enjoyed the lot (well, most.....Space Oddity did my nut a bit!)

Nicked it from Flickr. Perhaps we should warn the author his musical taste is being scrutinized. A search for "covers" should pull it up.

Yep Tracy, it is The Manics (love the original too, but don't tell anyone, ok?).
Guilty of loving Um-ber-rella-ah-eh-eh-eh-eh too, it's a pure pop joy.
I like this whole list. This could be the top ten this week! Or however many there are, I didn't count.
Particularly like are friends electric, again no idea about artist or original performer.
Aw, Steen, you say the nicest things.
