For a chance to meet the frankly indestructable Breeders in the final of CWS, it's the unlikely face-off between the Bangles and Bikini Kill - there's some full on guitar action in both tunes; but which one is the best??
(and don't worry, 'spillers - this series is only one more post from being finished...)

For Moi it just has to be The Bangles, for many reasons, some of them musical.
Bangles certainly. Love the original, but this is worthy of it.
Gotta be the Bangles although this one was a bit twisted by the L.A. image machine. I'd have gone with Dover Beach or Silent Treatment but I'm not quibbling with the artist.
Bagles for me, please?
Bangles!
Bangles all the way.
(Ooh, that sounds like a Christmas carol!)
Not really, a carol. You know what I mean.
Are you insinuating Carole got them for Christmas
did they all come in those stockings?
The Bangles were my favourite band when i was six. Hazy Shade Of Winter still sounds superb.
Bangles are cool but my vote goes firmly with BIKINI KILL ......
...."we are Bikini KIll and we want Revolution. Girl style. Now"!!!!!!!!!!!
..one of my all time favourite bands...if anyone hasn't seen yet "Don't Need You: The Herstory of Riot Grrrl" is a pretty short but decent overview of the last great punk rock movement
Who have I listened to more? Bikini Kill or The Bangles? To be honest, they're neck and neck!

Huh! I wish!
Bangles! Bangles! Bangles!
What's that Abahachi? I can't quite..?
So, which Bangles song to face The Breeders in the final? Must contain mondo guitarness!
I would say that it has to be 'Silent Treatment', their punkiest moment but still full of fantastic harmonies.
Bangles? Where did it all go wrong? Is this shred off or pop off. Bangles can barely outplay the Spice Girls. Nothing wrong with a good pop tune, but this has very little to do with guitar chops anymore.
I'll dond Abahachi & say Silent Treatment.
