Firekites - Autumn Song

Found this video on Drawn. I love the animation (and my boys have asked to see it 3X) I wasn't sure how I felt about the song at first, but it's growing on me. I especially like the handclaps throughout.

Steenbeck, I really like this - both the video and the music. It reminds me of Jose Gonzalez singing "Heartbeats" - lovely. Thanks!

Here's Jose, in case you don't know it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4_4abCWw-w

A few years ago it was linked with a TV advert for Bravia televisions - the ad showed thousands of coloured balls cascading down the hills in (I think) San Francisco . I could have watched / listened for hours (I'm sad like that).

Nice.

My work is doing a communal timelapse black and white graffiti wall type thing soon - any suggestions about what i should paint?

it's basically a rip-off of this:

could you not have some red in there too, just for the spill?

Heres the idea.. all painted in black and white except for the red wine SPILL:

red wine bottle painted on wall..
micro car comes and knocks it over...
red 'wine' spill gets daily monster treatment...
acts out famous movie scene...
lets say King Kong.. back on top of the bottle thats been picked up.. monster slips back into bottle and the set up is the same as the beginning.

Micro speeding train knocks bottle over..
red Spill gets daily monster treatment.. lets say it looks like a few zombies,, stop motion the scene until they are captured in the bottle again.. someone places it back upright.

Micro elephant charges the bottle..

get the picture, a never ending loop of spilt wine and movie references.
Weirder and weirder things can knock the bottle over as you go until someone draws a glass, pours the wine, drinks it and switches the camera off.

Wow Shane, super excellent ideas, unfortunately I'm limited by the b&w, and only get to paint one thing before someone else comes along and adds to it/paints over it

Brilliant brilliant Idea, Shane. You should do it!!! i love that kind of animation, because I like seeing people draw. Have you seen when they do it on white boards? This kind of thing...

I like it because it seems like it doesn't take crazy amounts of money or resources. Do it, Shane, do it?

I did a promo whiteboard drawing once, really easy to do - you just lock the camera off on a tripod, doodle away and then speed up the footage in post, add cool muziks,et voile!

Go Shane!
