Conversations with Life Guides

When I was seven years old, I lived on a farm that backed onto the grounds of a home for the mentally disturbed....

My Dad said "the grass is always greener on the other side..."

here's listening to hip hop?,Dads, Grandads, not your Priest, your left handed girl, your self, your social worker (the Angel on your shoulder), dad, the voices, your baby.
It all means nothing 'cos everyone understands 'MOTHER KNOWS BEST'

The Earlies
Her Space Holiday
Johnny Flynn

@ shane - another wonderfully eclectic mix from the least sane person on the 'Spill. ;0)

Particularly loved The Earlies, Her Space Holiday and Glasvegas.

I use my nose to type when they re strap the jacket up.

the Her Space Holiday song 'Sleepy California'
should also be mentioned in this thread..

incredibly sad to me as my Nan was drifting off into an Alzheimers haze when I first heard it

but the pay off..
"hope she hears her husbands voice,
telling her she's coming home"

always works even for a non god botherer like me.

You are indeed the master, Shane!

The Earlies and Buck 65 were the stand outs for me

Wonderful, as ever, Shane. I really like that Johnny Flynn. I liked the earlies, bck 65, her Space Holiday, and Hot Chip. I've heard a lot about them, but haven't listened coherently to their music.

Johnny Flynn's 'a larum' is a good un more consistent than the mini album..

a while back there was a run of RR subjects that me and steen tried to get 'Tickle me pink' into.

glad you like steen I'm sorting some stuff for you at the moment.. I'm hoping to get it finished before I go away on Thursday.. but as ever I have the art of procrastination down to a z or x or maybe a T.

(oh .. . cardboard box needs to be turned into a boat he he )

Saneshane!! Mr. Steenbeck's nephew (in his twenties) just sent an e-mail saying we'd like I am Kloot, and I thought, I know them!! I do like them!

Forgot to mention that my computer's optical drive was repaired, meaning I can listen to CDs again. Ahem.
