Donded to oblivion Blimpster, the very first one I thought of and a tune I hadn't heard in a very long time.
Speaking of hairy things, have you got the new Aidan Moffat album yet, I just read a review of it in one of Mrs Japanthers girly (not THAT type of girly!) mags and remembered it was coming out.
also, i'm looking for the post you put up about the BBC jazz programme that dealt with 1959. Do you know the heading it's listed under? i've looked for ages to no avail, didn't get time to read it properly before
Japanther Big Blonde in my post is from the Moffat album.. and just becaue i love it so much I got the box set: vinyl lp cd album cover version 7" 5 track cd-ep and a bloody Board game plus a signed valentine card (it was released on feb 14!!
all I need now is the Kiss my Beard T-Shirt (my ms hates beards!)
if you like his stuff normally you be most pleased.. although I don't know many people apart from me who needs a 'how to get to heaven from Scotland' board game!
(yes that post did need that many exclamation marks.. and chemikal records, it's okay - I will keep you in jobs)
Just want to say that I DO realise that TDSOGF is a disgustingly offensive band name which the Guardia-reading feminist in me doesn't condone one little bit.
I'm now pondering on a lovely sunny Sunday morning: how many singles came with the pubic hair? how many band members are there to shave? or are they particularly hirsute? or did they wait for more growth and send out the next batch?
but I'm not going to do a search.. I dread to think what might be accessed! It shoots straight to #1 in the hair promotional list though.
I've got a Kid Koala travel chess set too.. if a few more bands could come up with some games.. then end of term at Spill school will be a lot more entertaining.
I hope the fact that I nommed Cut Your Hair first doesn't ruin its chances of making the list. There aren't too many Malkmus lyrics that are clear enough to fit an RR topic as well as this one.
BTW, why can't I just put my name in a little box with the comment any more? I hate having to keep logging into stuff - especially the ubiquitous Google.
Oh, it was porn, was it? I didn't care to click and find out...
Blimpy, is it you who likes Orange Juice? Because there's a piece about Edwyn Collins in the Obs magazine today - short article, big pic of his room inc vinyl collection and stuffed heron.
ToffeeBoy, there's an exhibition of his drawings starting next week in Glasgow... http://cca-glasgow.com/index.cfm?page=236B7D10-868E-4F86-A306909B378E5655&eventid=1002CBB4-5956-1661-BA9A1207239807CB
it's the same venue where I saw Diana Jones three weeks ago.

That is some serious commitment Shane! A board game?! Incredible!
I've got a 7" by TwoDeadSlutsOneGoodFuck that came with a little bag of the band members pubic hair...mmmm.....nothing beats a board game though!

I'll stick with the board game.

Chris, I think it might be because Blimpy has tightened up access to get rid of the Japanese porn blogger.

I didn't click either - you just had to hover over the link with the cursor to see the subject matter.
@ tfd - it might be blimpy but it's me too. What a top man Edwyn is. Thanks for the heads up!

@ tfd - thanks for the link. Are you planning to go to the exhibition? I can't believe I missed the one in London last year!!!!
@TB: yes, I hope to - I'll be going to Glasgow for work a couple of times while it's on.
"So, what do you do for a living?"
"Me, I'm a Japanese Porn Blogger"
