You're Playing Yourself

She once I thought she starred in a film called Be pretty and Shut Up, but she didn't, still I wish she had, because she's opened her mouth and revealed herself to be a rather despicable person.

The Unicorns and Tom Zé address the irrelevance of past idols. For Tom, "Brigitte Bardot has got old before our dreams", and our "dreams are filing for divorce, and now BB is sad and lonely, will a 20 year old man cal her right at the time she's thinking of committing suicide?". For the Unicorns, an ex-child actor tries to convince an old fan he's still worth it.
The Unicorns

I also spilt Gainsbourg and GZA, that weren't recommended by me,  but I've recommended so few songs, I needed some padding.

I'm having a weird problem with RR and I'll hang it here since Ejay helped me out last week.
When I go looking for RR at around midnight Thursday there's nothing there, not on the front page nor in the Culture/Music blog. I get everything else that the G has to offer but no RR. It didn't show for several hours, finally appearing Friday morning. This has been happening now for two weeks. How is it possible? Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
Doing a search doesn't help, that only brings up past topics.

Sounds strange, you should try this page:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/filmandmusic
Once the blog is up, the column should appear.

ejay, how do you do strike through words?

Use "s" instead of say, "b" for bold.

GF - it may be a silly suggestion, but have you taken into account the clocks changing to BST?? It nearly caught us out when we were over in Sweden!

(I am currently basking in the warm sunshine of a beautiful Tokyo Monday morning, with Tokyo Tower to the left of me and the Skyscrapers of modern industry at my feet, watching the so-called elites of the metropolis arrive in endless streams of identikit suits to their overpaid jobs at Goldman Sachs and other such bastions of capitalism, stealing an internet connection and feeling right with the world.....ah.....

...now to give these tunes a listen...

Ejay: Thanks I'll try that next week if it persists and,
Japanther: It's not the clocks, I've got an international time set up on my desktop for all my worldwide friends which includes RR.
