Ejay: At the bottom of the notice board pic at top there's a cluster of 4 faded blue pics of Che, I have them framed in my hallway, along with a few others of him.

Hey Ejay--just finished listening to your post. Great list as usual. This could be the a-list right here. Well, the list +3.

Nice sounds. All those Cuba photos remind me of a faux pas I made involving a Cuban we used to know, he was the boyfriend of a Turkish work colleague, they were both into dance and started up a school teaching Tango and Disco. William had been in the Cuban army in Angola and then got posted to Eastern Germany just before the Warsaw Pact broke up, after that he refused to go home. As you do. They invited us to dinner once and had little hors d'oeuvres with different sauces, I remember dipping a deep fried shrimp into one sauce which turned out to be William's rum and coke. It tasted good, though. I have no idea why I am telling you this.

Well at least it's a nice change form the tedious "lemon hand cleaner confused for soup" schtick. Did he give you a look? Force you to attend dancing lessons for a month?

He was cool about it.. I mean, he was a big guy, right, and pretty agile, with all the dance experience and his army training, but a couple of weeks previously I had, at his request, and in a moment of alcohol fuelled madness, performed a Haka, so that might have unsettled him somewhat.

Ejay: If you dbl. click on the top pic it'll get larger, there's a cluster of 4 images in a rectangle, they're faded to blue. They are not drawings, they're acrylic paintings by a Cuban artist, Rene´ Mederos, there's a series of 25. I have prints of 14 of them. They're in very vivid colors, mostly in jungle settings. I know that I photographed them but I can't see them on my computer, if I can find them I'll post a couple.

See if this works, if it does it's by Mederos but it's not one of the series. Click Che
