Style Wars is great, I'll check if they have the dvd bonus on youtube, where you see them 20 years later, awesome, brought a smile on my face in a gloomy time when I first saw it.

Here's Skeme with his mother, 20 years later.

I did find it.. so he's gone from one kind of bombing to another.. weird.

(INTRUDER shane is getting so annoyed... my safari browser is constantly crashing, what is going on?)

Weird but he's still cool, he hasn't reneged it all. THere's more of these interviews but I can't find them.

Have you tried upgrading to the newest Safari? If yes, try downgrading, or turn off javascript in your preferences.

Love the Moonstomp.. strange cultural connection- it reminds me of the Calvino story The distance of the moon, in the new Cosmicomics collection which I'm reading at the moment.

I did answer this afternoon but it all collapsed again...

I like the fact he hasn't reneged and wonder what his four kids think.. and with supposed army discipline what he says to them about it.

impeccable stuff Ejay.

"Fuck Your Motherfu..." was great and spot on. But "It's a Rave Dave" sounded suspiciously like an Adam & Joe Song Wars cast off!!

ejaydee said...

Who are these Adam & Joe I hear... often... hear, um, speaketh of, them?
I seem to remember it was Blimpy who introduced us to this, via the video:

Thanks for listening y'all

Tee hee - TRASH FASHION in the house!

I saw them play this "tune" in an underground club - full on bouncin off the ceiling mosh pit and bad heavy metal guitars - hilarious and awesome! Very of the moment.

Big up Kano as well.

Top playlist!

It's funny, I don't really remember the Vampire Weekend song from their album, I thought it was Sting for about 30 seconds before I twigged. I was lying here, thinking "oh my goodness, do i like sting now?!!?"

Deejayee said...

Good thing it wasn't Sting, there's only room for two semi-fans and that's taken by FrogP and Mnemonic, so you would have had to turn in your badge.

Ejay - Adam and Joe are a couple of posh kid comedians that used to be popular with the student crowd when I was at Uni. It seems their audience has grown up (or not as the case may be!) with them as me and TracyK are both fans.

Here's a couple of Song Wars tunes to show you what I mean:

p.s. the video was ace!
