This song "Evil Bee" by Menomena, has been stuck on repeat on my ipod, on my stereo, on my mac endlessly and endlessly and endlessly.
I'd forgotten how great the video is too, it fits the song perfectly and is cut spot on.
The dynamics and instrumentation work really well, and there is longing, tension, and pop hooks at the heart of the tune.
The circular nature of the narrative of the video is impressive, and as for the sub-text - would anyone wish to fathom a guess at what it all means?

Good job ending your post with a question, Blimpy, I can't stop myself from responding. Love the video.
Don't you see?! It's a pamphlet for home-made cooking. The message is, it's much better to have real flowers than some pre-mashed petal mixture.
Stunning video and love the song. It's kind of Metropolis meets BBC wildlife programmes! How awful if would be if nature started functioning according to our industrialised manufacturing methods. It seems to ask a question - would life survive or do the machines always win in the end?
The machines are winning....
