Is that photo from the concert you saw? I saw Springsteen once, many years ago. It was a bizarrely springsteen-esque night. I went with my brother's best friend from highschool, and we drank budweiser out of cans in the parking lot. A strange but good night. He has a lot of energy.
No, it's from his website. I foolishly heeded the 'no cameras' rule on the ticket, so I was the only person there who didn't take a picture. He has, indeed, a lot of energy. And he's the same age as I am!
Easily, I just followed the signs from the station (sorry)...
Well, it's very big, and everything they sell says Arsenal on it. Pity, cos I wanted the official tour T shirt. About 7.15 some of us saddos in the Pit looked round at the stands and were alarmed to see them so sparsely filled; then just as the band came on we looked round again and blimey, the place was chocka!
It was the first time I'd seen Bruce (or Springo, as I'd prefer to call him in a subversive kind of way!) since Wembley in '85... and I think this was even better, although we were dead on our feet having been up since 4 a.m. to get to the gig in the first place.
There's a bit of me that hates big stadium gigs, but at their best they overcome the limitations - this was one of them. Such a good feel in the crowd (we were seated up in the North Stand, in the "hospitality" band of seating - I have no idea why!)
The main downer was that I refused on principal to spend anything on beer etc., as I have a historical (Spurs based) aversion to benefitting the Gooners, but I have to admit through gritted teeth that it's a magnificent stadium.
Well, if Bruce comes back we'll go again. It'd be nice if he'd play Scotland, though!
"then just as the band came on we looked round again and blimey, the place was chocka!" So just like an Arsenal game then.
And now a second Spurs fan comes out of the woodworks! It's OK, my girlfriend can sing Africa by Toto (among many many other musical no-nos) off the top of her head and I still love her.

Was it at Ashburton Grove aka Emirates Stadium? How did you find it?
