I agree that there's something that stops me from fully loving Nina Gordon's version of Straight Outta Compton. There was a discussion about this on RR, I think it was for California songs. I remember Dsd muchly preferring the cover.
By the way the version of Paper Planes from the album has the gunshots and till. You have the censored version, you wimp.
One last thing, as I zip up my anorak, I can inform you that fatherhood of gangsta rap is attributed to Schooly D most of the time, and sometimes Johnny Cash.

Help! I can't play it - what's going wrong? If I click on the hyperlinks I get an error message and the boxstr just doesn't work at all.
After briefly flickering through 34 tracks, it gets to the Camera Obscura track from saneshane's posting and plays that - nothing else. I need to hear the blimpcast - now!!!
It won't work for me either!
Boxstr seems to be out today. Glad I got my copy early.

i think my boxstr bandwidth is full, which is a load of bollocks, cos I just paid to "go pro", and I should get 10gigs of downloads per day (w2hich now costs me £1 per month, by the way) .
Hopefully, quite soon, it should be reset, and you'll be able to hear the blimpcast.
try back in a couple of hours, or maybe I should put it on podbean?
There's something weird going on here, yesterday I tried Blimp's podcast, no go, so I just tried again and it opened and started playing but it wasn't him, it was a musical cut, I clicked advance several times and recognised some names, Jens Lekman and Marianne, then I recognised Bowie and Nina Simone, and French Kiss [orig] and I don't want to be kissed..., then there was Hidden camera and finally Diz and Lupe Fiasco!
If you scan down the postings you'll see that they were posted by
1. Shane
2. Ejay
3.Shane again
4. Steen.
The list was numbered and went to 51 cuts
Somehow Boxstr has merged all the separate groups of selections into one long one.
And re. going to Podbean, do you think it would take an hour podcast without overloading? My bandwidth is full with just some of the cuts I've put on here.
It's working for me now. Not sure I have time to listen at the moment, but looking forward to it.
when folks' boxstr bandwidth is at its limit, the embedded player skips through and then plays the next available tune.
my 10 gig dialy limit has been reset now, so the blimpcast is back,back, back!!
ok the pig fell on my shoulder and my right arm is unusable again...so single finger left hand messing about has freed up my bandwidth again...
I managed to listen to part one...the in box was your own fault!!
but too many pain killers have done me in now....so hope boxstr is ok from my part.
Trying to get extra limit, but its a bit teechy at the mo..will listen to part 2 tomorrow GOOD STUFF again Blimpy.
