Something nasty in the woodshed

I think I'm on to something with this shed business. It's not just a bloke thing either - I'm sure I could use a good shed, only I have a whole house to myself so I don't really need one.

The last song is about a serial killer, and it's by my son's band the In and Outlaws. Their record will be coming out soon and I'll be happy to send one to any RR-er.

A Solitary Life - Richard Thompson
Doctor of Physick - Fairport Convention
Evangeline - Mary Gauthier
Dirty Work - Steely Dan
Devil Down In Me - the In and Outlaws

Songs about sheds would be tricky, The bands Shed 7, & Bogshed spring to mind, but can't think of any tunes.

Very cool that your son is in a band, look forward to a listen later, after meeting up with a certain "Dad" of our aquaintance.

Well, say hi to him from me, Shoey!

I haven't had a chance to listen yet because I've been wrestling with Boxstr all day. I Press "upload" and it says it's uploading, but hours later....nothing!!

How did you get it to work, TFD?

that's a snowy shed!

It's not boxstr, steenbeck - it's Dropbox. Much much easier.

but...it looks just like boxstr! How did you do it, TFD?

Dropbox seems to be the way to go - if bandwidth holds up. Boxtr (desktop) uploads still work faster for me, but it's not as slow as Podbean & the user interface is way cooler with dropbox. Many thanks again, Tin. Unlike Boxtr you are not able to reassure yourself that folks are listening with a playcount if a post attracts few comments, probably not a bad thing, but my sense of loneliness/isolation is likely to worsen over the next few weeks as we embrace the new technology.

steenbeck, if you haven't been invited to Dropbox already, you need to tell tincanman and he'll need your email address (so he'll find out your lentil name). Once you're in, it's dead easy - you can copy/paste a track from iTunes into Dropbox, and to put it on the 'Spill you just move it to the folder called Public, wait till a green tick appears on the icon, then right-click on the track, choose Drpbox and then Copy public link, and then that'll paste into the player on the 'Spill.

That's from a PC btw.

PS if you've recommended a track on RR, chances are tincanman will already have put it into the RR Dropbox folder. How does he do this?
