THESE REALLY ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!

Last week I posted several songs by women singers, I listed them as some of my favorites: THESE are my REAL favorites, these are magical! The main difference is that none of these are in English which means that I don't understand a word by any of them but that matters not, I don't understand Callas or Three Tenors or Radiohead either for that matter, but they all have the ability to sound wonderful. There are eight selections here which range from Brazil to Portugal to South Africa, to Zaire to Ethiopia, they're all fairly recent [to me] CD's. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have. In sequence they are:

1. Vulidela by Brenda Fassie from S. Africa.
2. Noite de Temporal by Virginia Rodriguez from Brazil.
3. Aba Alem Lemenea by Ejigayehu Shibabaw from Ethiopia.
4. Tshikunda by Tshala Muana from Zaire [Congo]
5. Toada Do Desengan by Mariza from Portugal.
6. Izinziswa by Busi Mhlongo from S. Africa.
7. Lusofonia by Maria Teresa from Portugal.
8. Hoje Eu Quero Sair So by Daude from Brazil.

Just in case you think we didn't listen - we did. The Portuguese Fado song is particularly lovely. Liked them all!
