RROS Housekeeping
Due to complaints about a deluge of email, I have removed everyone who was on the comments email list. If you would like to be put back on, please email (see sidebar) or leave a comment in the, ahem, comments. Also, if there are any blog-related issues that need to be discussed, let's use the comments for this post to do so. Cheers.

(Lower lip trembling) I wasn't...sniff...complaining. Really. It's just that...sniff...with all my Ebay activities and this wonderful blog...sniff...my mailbox was overloaded. Gulp.
I never minded either.. count me in. Any idea what's wrong with Podbean?
Back on, please. Much easier to flick through the e-mails than blog-trawling to see what's updated.
I can't play any of the Podbeans either. Maybe just as well I never got round to posting any.
Blimpy - I was never on (couldn't work out how to) but wouldn't mind being on the email thing (save having to look specially)
Other comments on blog (in the polishing diamonds category) - surely clicking on our guru Dorian's velvet bonce (in the side bar) should take us to a brief resume/panegyric, and links to other facets of his wonderfulness. He's Canadian I believe. Maybe he would like to write his own (are you listening, Dorian?)
I've not been on the email thingy but would like to be please Blimpy. No-one ever emails me. (sniff)

now that sounds great.. now I have electric back.. trawling through the blog is one of my favorite wastes of time...Will have to post something soon..how did you all manage to break podbean before I could have a go?
Gosh, I only stepped away from the Overspill to cook some pork chops (5 mins in garlic oil, remove to warm plate, throw in some cider to pan, add mustard, add cream, bubble a wee bit, add gnochhi, 3 more minutes, then serve- very satisfying - thanks Nigella) and everyone's all upset, I was only being quick and to the point so not to take up much room on the blog (plus I had pork chops to cook) , anyhoo - I'll put all back on who want on, no probs.
I'll try and hot-link our Guru's face to , um, Canada.com??
Also, if anyone else can handle admin responsibilities, do let me know, as I'm not always around to look after the blog. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility.....

Oh, and I should add to my last comment, that there is also a large "delete blog" button when you have the admin power.

Meanwhile, I'm quite disappointed that there are no 100% scots. What kind of Scottish special is that, already I see people are corrupting haggis recipes. Where's Gordon?
You're quite right, EJD. I tried to stop the recipe corruption at least. I'm actually 100% scottish, ethnically speaking, but I've never lived there, can't stand bagpipes or Billy Connolly and don't know any Robert Burns off by heart, so I'm afraid I don't qualify.
ejaydee- a very good question! But, is anyone 100% anything, really?

I'd suggest the following categories:

Cultural issues took precedence over ethnical ones...

Blimpy - I've no problem either way with being on the comments-via-email list, but am probably too busy to contribute much at the moment anyway.
And re Scotsmen - I don't know where my good friend gordonimmel is this week either: I keep forgetting to ring him until it's too late in the evening to do so. I'll text him early Thurs about this thread, I promise.
I can't believe he hasn't stuck his tuppen'th in on the 'Album Closer Songs' thread ...
Blimpy - I notice that there have been a couple of moderator interventions in some comment lists. Who is doing that? I ask only out of curiosity.
As for being Scots, I'm a Geordie. Did you know it is said that Scots define Geordies as English with no brains, and the English define us as Scots with no brains? It's nice to be so popular.
Whisky? Don't mind if I do. A large Talisker will do nicely - no ice, no water, no umbrella.
Tempus, I think that we are the ones moderating ourselves. Here we can delete our comments, as well as edit our blog posts when we want, which makes AlexaK's absence all the more surprising.

I voted for a straight whisky ofcourse. Even being asked the other questions sends a shiver up my spine! Not that I'll be having any at the moment. It's that New-Year-Health-Drive time of year don't you know.
I've no idea what you're all referring to WRT the e-mail thingy so I suppose I'll just stay as I am
Basically, I'm too busy at the moment to really contribute here i.e. upload some picture or music etc. It's not that I'm ignoring or not enjoying the blog.
