Rainbow Covers

My mate once embroidered the whole of the Rainbow Rising LP on the back of his denim jacket. I got half way through a Led Zep symbol before I got bored. "Why does it say 'Zo' on your jacket?". Getting these won't be such a feat. Album title or artist will imprism me much.

Oh, and none of them are ecru.

I got two of them (you managed to choose to of my absolute favourite albums!) but I won't be greedy and I'll only post one answer now - the second one is 'You Can't Hide Your Love Forever by the mighty Orange Juice. For the record, I also know number five - so there!

The cheap robot is Bill Nelson's Red Nose (Noise) "Sound on Sound"

YMO "Multiples"

Think the Skids may be in there too

No Skids. Which one did you reckon that was?
OJ, YMO and Red Noise fill the Richard Of York slots.

4th one down. Oh & is that the back of Grace Jone's head?

Blue Nile's Hats.
Isn't the last one Blackmore's Night?

Yes it is Blackmore's Night: 'Under a Violet Moon'. You've been hanging with Gordonimmel too long D's D.
4th down predates Skids by about 4 years.
We've got Battles and Vain then, but no Gained or In.

The middle one is "Another Gained World" by Eno (none of yer poncey "Brian" in those days...).

In looks _very_ mid-80s,and I've seen it before, but... nah.

Gah! How did I not get the Indigo Girls? Nomads Indians Saints.

Erm..Green World, Shiv. Unless Brian Eno is part of the Borg Collective. Come to think of it...

Yes D'sD,I prefer the first LP but I don't have it on vinyl so that would be cheating. I don't have Blackmore's Night on vinyl either but I was desperate for Violet. The Lilac Time?

@ Pf - I've only got Swamp Ophelia, but the portraits were naggingly familiar. The penny dropped over the name first, then I just had to figure out which album it was.

Alternatives? From my collection, it could have been JJ Burnel's pub/dad-rockers The Purple Helmets, with their Rise Again LP.
