The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart aren't even from the late 80s or even Glasgow, but if you like music that is, then you'll love this like I do.

I like it, very Morrissey/Marr isn't it?

Love the video too, sweet and touching.

Sounded more like JAMC or early Primal Scream to me. Could have jumped sat comfortably on one of the Creation Sampler albums. Good stuff Mr Indie!

Jumped sat?

See what happens when you change what you were going to say half way through a post and then fail to read it back before posting. I think I've got next year's New Year's Resolution sorted already...

I would have played the grooves off this in Edinburgh ca. 1986. Luvely jubby, Blimpster. BTW not only have we got Darce back on RR (YEYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!) But Jason did a list and Roberta Swipecard popped in. All in all, a good week!! Haven't seen Scudder for a while. You alright, bonny lad?

From the Twee side of indie, I put these forward as THE twee-est indie-est band EVA!

(Liked the tune by the way Blimpy)

that woulda won, but only for the fact that INDIE is so passionate that it never slips into NOVELTY, other than that '; the aesthetics were pretty spot oan.
