RIP Ron Asheton

That's really sad, especially about him not being found for several days. I saw him live several times and it was always a great performance.

On a brighter note, at least he got to play in the reformed Stooges again before he died. I read more than one interview where he expressed his longing for The Ig to give him a call and get the band back together.
Reminds me a bit of Arthur Kane in that respect.

I had the luck to see Ron Asheton at work two times, first time as Asheton, Asheton, Mascis & Watt at the Belgian Pukkelpop Festival doing a brilliant Stooges tribute, and a couple of years later at the same festival with Iggy as the Stooges, who would have thought that.... It was amazing!
