Trailers? For Albums?

I think more bands should do wee trailers for their albums, this minute of Archie Bronson Outfit has made me look forward to their LP as a whole, instead of just a single song.

What do you think? Should bands adopt a movie-type trailer before the release?

& let us not forget the 453rd best song ever written:

Hey Shane, do you want to team up on a gobbledigook playlist for this week? Is your pc up to it?

computer will crash at any point (I've had a shit day - just finished some 'paperwork'! @ 5 to mid-night on a friday as the pc is crashing so much - it always used to be so much easier on actual feckin' paper)

but it means I've listened to some cool 'do be do la la la ' songs on records

love cats or let's go to bed for the Cure nom?

What about Shane tune bingo?
I have 72 tracks that fit well - give me no more than 13 numbers and i'll try to post them by the end of the weekend - although this machine being on 1970s trade union time - it might take till next weeks theme!

In a heartbeat, shoey. I'd be glad to. But I've nommed all the ones I would put in the list on the mothership. Does that ruin all the fun? And put them in the RR dropbox as well.

I see the beards are still in full flow. I like the idea of a trailer for an album, but in practice, it may be too short to be satisfying.

No problem. I'll sling you a few tunes in drop-box. Pick the ones you like & jam them in with the best of yours for the 1st ever Steengazer playlist.

Sounds good, Shoey! I'll try to get it up before I go to work tomorrow. Maybe we should call it Shoesteen. Doesn't that sound like some kind of Brooklyn business, est. 1907? What would we sell?

I'll look for your tracks in the dropbox, and if you have any picture ideas let me know.

album trailer seems like a cool idea to me and I wondered what had happened to ABO. I've got an early 7" of theirs that I associate in my mind with about the time Art Brut came out that I really liked at the time....will keep a look out for the album after this, cheers!

their stone cold classic song is "dart for my sweetheart" which i've spilled the video of before - it really is an immense groove:i have now added it to this post.
