Player's Association: ride the groove

Player's Association was a disco supergroup which never quite took off in the charts.
Ride the groove features shimmering guitar, brass stabs, funky vocals, sax solo by Michael Brecker.
It's basically just jazz musicians having fun playing disco.

For a complete change of mood, the title track from Cassandra Wilson's tribute album dedicated to Miles Davis, which unexpectedly used country and bluegrass tinged ballads alongside some of his own compositions and is one of the most intruiging Davis inspired works.

Finally, take a camel ride with Dzihan and Kamien's Slowhand Hussein. No spitting along the way, please.

Hmmm.. I think I imagined that a bit differently.. How do I get the link activated like DD's?

Ola, for some reason it wasn't linking, so I made a small change, hope you don't mind.

Top first post, keep em coming.

Cheers!

That works! I dreamed of this since I began here. I've been trying to put up a piece as a test with no success, can you explain?

Thanks Blimpy, I had your blog in mind when I was on my hols in 2006
;-)
The download link works but I'd rather have a player like you got for Lazarus below- how do you do that?

I signed up for a free account at archive.org , then uploaded the mp3 that accompanies my post, then clicked on the link for vbr mp3, copied and pasted that link into the html window in the middle of the the html code that can be found here:

http://groups.google.com/group/blogger-help/web/faqs

Scroll down to 12. How do i put audio in my blog

This put the wee player that you can see on the page.

I would have put the code itself into this comment, but it doesn't accept html.

Thanks for that, Blimpy. Got it sorted in the end. G'night all..

Blimpy: Yes, I was trying to upload a Ry Cooder/Ali Farka Toure piece from my iTunes for Steenbeck to hear but I don't see any provision for 'audio', I tried to do it as video and it worked right up to the last minute and then said 'error'. I'm on a Mac.

Goneforeign--look at BLimpy's answer above, it describes the process. Although I've had some trouble with archive.org. And then it didn't attach cleanly for me. I've had better luck sticking a still picture on it, as Ejaydee suggested (I used iMovie, not sure how Ejaydee did it) and then I, too, had trouble attaching it, so I uploaded it to youTube and pasted a link to that. It sounds like a lot of work, but it all goes very quickly. I'm not the best one to ask, though. Other people have successfully attached audio. I've heard a bit of Ali Farka Toure and loved it all, so looking forward to your selection. Good luck...

Looks like archive.org isn't working well for folks across the board, time to try somewhere else methinks.
