Our (ex) Guru's secret

Here's Dorian on Saturday clutching part of his new collection of fine wine - a thank you from all of us in RRland.
And the secret of his new project can now be revealed. He's writing a book about protest songs, in 33 1/3 chapters. This will expand the original RR Protest songs column from way back when, into a full length feature. Each chapter will be one song/protest movement - civil rights, Vietnam, apartheid, etc. What he DOESN'T want is a a deluge of suggestions from us as to what songs to include in the book! So once you've got a copy of the excellent 'Guardian book of Playlists' start saving your pennies for Dorian's next awesome publication.
See y'all at the next social.

Great! I ordered it from Amazon last week, should be here soon, looking forward to that. I was on-air when this war started and I made a CD of umpteen 'Songs of Protest', that was the title and put one in every DJ's box, they got lots of play and phone in comments. A few weeks ago I emailed Dorian with the suggestion that it would be a great RR topic, didn't know we'd already done it, I must go back and have a look in the archives.

Don't worry about trawling the archives, go'fo, it's in The Book!

(Frau Postperson brought mine yesterday and I've already given it a good flick; it's also far, far easier to remember which songs have already made the list this way than keep referring to the A-Z)

Do you have more? I hadn't noticed you were taking pictures.

Sorry EJD, no - out of deference to the anonymity thing, I only took the Dorian pic, as he is 'out' already. Good to meet you, and thanks for the liner notes...

We're in the foreword, in alphabetical order. Dorian's rather cute, isn't he?

I've got mine also, ideal book to read on the train to and from work, and yes we are (nearly) all listed in the foreword....
