Recommending something to read...

As the Richmond Fontaine fans on this blog might know: singer/songwriter Willy Vlautin is also a quite good author, here is his latest novel, Northline, highly recommended (..and it also comes with a kind of 'soundtrack cd'....):

I just finished a book by an author I hadn't read before, it's "Bird Lives" by Bill Moody, a serial killer mystery with a VERY strong jazz theme running throughout by an author who really knows his jazz. He's a musician and a mystery writer and has half a dozen jazz themed books to his credit, check him at billmoodyjazz.com
Another is Michael Connolly, similarly an excellent mystery writer who frequently includes his love of jazz into his books.

What a coincidence ToNL, I am currently half way thru' reading Northline right now. And I'm listening to the album too! The book's a bit bleak, though, isn't it?

Life is just too fast!

I've had my copy of Northline since day of release but haven't even started it yet. Love the 'soundtrack' though.

I'm also a Michael Connolly fan, gf.
