VERY ANGRY NOISE

Herewith, as requested, the Peter Broetzmann Octet with the loud, terrifying and very angry 'Machine Gun'. Well, almost; just as I was getting the hang of Podbean's embeddable whatsit they've changed it all, but I hope the following link will take you to a page where you can play the track. Note that, depending on your disposition, this is either very good for hangovers or not under any circumstances to be played when you have a hangover...

Ouch. Love the motif that sounds like the screams of the Accrington Stanley Women's Institute on a roller coaster at Blackpool. Terrifying indeed.
The link work beautifully, BTW, including the soothing picture that lures you into a false sense of security.
And what is it about machine guns at the minute? Blimpy posted Machine Gun MounTain, and Mnemonic's social CD had Portishead's Machine Gun. Sign of the times, I guess...

Wow! My kind of hangover music. Where can I get it?

Christalbleedinmighty!

I stood it for almost two minutes, then had to reach for some Metallica to chill out!

Hang in there, DsD - it gets more mellow (mellow being a relative term, y'unnerstand). And you've missed the bit where they use a live chicken as a musical instrument...

I made it to the end, which I think is very brave of me this early in the morning!

Donds for machinegun mountain, I would like to add "Tommy Gun" by the Clash for the final ten.

I will listen to the posted track with interest once I'm back home - thanks for putting it up!

Surely Jimi Hendrix's Machine Gun should be up there.

F*ck me!

I thought I was a fairly hardened soul but that was brutal and that comes from someone who once went to a Test Department gig.

There is some free jazz I like, but this one always fell on the wrong side of the "annoying noise" line for me. Irrefutable evidence that you can, in fact, make a saxophone sound like a machine gun. Not sure anyone has ever made a machine gun sound like a saxophone, though...
