Impressive, gremlin - but who's the dude with the green bag and did that Anthony Gormley pain-in-the-bum have it away with all your clothes again? And OK OK, the joke's there, swimming in with the tide, so I have to fish it out - was that done with a telescopic lens or was it just a cold day?

Like it , like it - you should see how mrs. Gremlin posed next to the statue - i had to cover my peas up. You'll see more of the green bag, by the way...

Is it the beach at Crosby, gremlin?

Mystery over - it is indeed the beach at Crosby and it's a lovely experience, whatever the weather.

I'm amazed they don't all have traffic cones on their noggins.

If the local council had had their original way, there wouldn't have been any statues to wear traffic cones when the planning permission for Another Place ran out. It was only a big public protest that's kept them there.
If anyone's ever in Birmingham city centre, there's another Anthony Gormley statue – called Iron: Man, but commonly known as The Iron Man – in front of what used to be the TSB Bank at the junction of New Street and Hill Street.

If you go (and I heartily recommend you do), check the tides first (http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/tides/northwest.shtml). The statues completely disappear at high tide and some can only be seen fully at low tide.
