In, out , in , out , you take the pitch apart...

Travels as a footie fan take you here, there & everywhere as Lenin & McArthy said, up and down the length and breadth of this land supporting yer team, as well as overseas and as HMHB will tesify, the pull is magical - "All I want for Xmas is a Dukla Prague away Kit"- whilst we all marvel and admire the Snadfrods as they set off in their wonderful (German) vehicle , spare a thought for the lost souls who marvel at stadia and the wonders of technology all over the world...here the gremlinfc is at one of the few stadia in the world where the pitch can be taken out on rollers but it normally stays outside so it can get sun, rain etc - moving it in or out takes about 4 +half hours...Vorsprung Durch Technik...

Nope, you beat me this time, gremlin! Dying to know, though.

Cheers.

I'd guess that's the Amsterdam ArenA.
Back in the days of Gazzetta Football Italia, James Richardson read out an article from Gazzetta dello Sport about a plan to instal hydraulics under the notoriously poor pitch at the San Siro so it could get more sun and provide a smoother playing surface. "Sort of jack my pitch up," was his verdict.

Gareth, you've struck a nerve there. Saturday mornings have become barren, disenfranchised wastelands since they took Gazzetta off the air.

It's not the Veltins-Arena, home of Schalke04 in Gelsenkirchen is it? If not, I'm stumped...

Love the 'where am I' posts from Gremlin. Great idea for a series - keep 'em coming!

I think Toffee's got it, hasn't he? I know this one as City have got Schalke away from home in the UEFA cup group stage ON THE ONE DAY IN THE NEXT SIX MONTHS THAT I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BE IN THE UK FOR....

Grrr. Racing Santander it is, then.

Hello peeps - well done those of you who recognised the Arena AufSchalke at Gelsenkirchen (now renamed the 'Veltins Arena')- top marks and many congratulations, you nose yer stuff.
I was there at the invite of a fellow (German) coach to see the state of the art stadia pre-world cup and it was mucho impressive. Snadfrod - hope you are there- if you need somewhere to park up in Steel City let me know.
