Kaki King (musician first, woman later)

Time to talk about new artists for a new decade? What about this one?

Kaki (pronounced 'Cacky') King could be onto something. Not sure about that name though.

Apparently, her favorite bands in the whole world are Lush, The Smiths, Sonic Youth and The Cure.

Blimpy, I didnt get around to listening to it yet. I just knew these clips, having looked them up, having read about her in 2008 for the first time. Will probly have to check it out on Spotify too now. She does an interesting version of Close to me (with toy piano) this I can tell you.

Only know her from the Black Pear Tree EP she did with the Goats last year. Thanks for the heads up SP.

(also, in indie totty terms, i should point out that she's somewhat nude in the cd booklet for "until we felt red"...)
