Flying over the cracks
Flying over the Cracks by Alastair Taylor
My iPod seems to be strangely comic-free, so no tracks from me this week, but I thought this picture (by my brother) combines the current crisis with this week's topic rather neatly!
BTW I'm sure all you Deadheads know about archive.org, but I've just found out that the Gourds are now on it - enough free live Gourds to fill a whole other iPod I should think. (But they haven't got any songs about comics or cartoons.)

It's clever how the widest part of the crack is engulfing the viewer, whilst fatcatman escapes.
Well, that's my brother for you...he IS clever!
Beautiful picture, tfd. What's it from? Is the book called Flying Over The Cracks or is that just the name of the picture? I Googled the name and found something called Mr Blewitt's Nose which looks like the same illustrations (and looks fantastic). ToffeeGirl works in a children's library - I'll have to get her to order it in! You have a very talented brother.
Why thank you TB - I think it was an illustration for a German financial magazine. See more at www.goatpix.com - the three people are all him. He's written another book called Swollobog: I think his pics are great but he's not so good at the writing part.
I love your brother's website, TFD, all of it, paintings, illustrations, animation (did you inspire the frog one?). Thanks for posting a link to it.
Thanks, steenbeck: I don't know whether I inspired the frog one or not. My brother is an ace bloke who is unfortunately now living in Australia, damn him.
The mystery of the creature is solved - take a peep...
