Bang goes Christmas...

Allow me to present to you, ladies and gentlemen, the first picture of NanoFrod. Due, it would seem, on the 25th of December.

So Noel, then. Or Noelle...

Eek.

Also, would this be a good time for me to direct you good and discerning people toward Mrs Frod and Frod-In-Law's excellent chocolate-based blog, chocoholicfrolics?

Have a look, make some of the recipes, comment lots and try not to get too sad about our pasta failings...

P.S. MiniFrod's the one with the strawberry.

Well congratulations to the Frods! Joyeux Noël!

Hey! I don't see the 'Spill on their blog roll...

Congratulations! That's what happens when you start rocking the camper van.

It's there now, Ejay.

Congratulations Snadfrod!

I like the blog. Who are the other people in the pictures? (Or--are there pictures of you and Mrs Snad on there?)

Hi there NanoFrod!

Congrats!

Names?

Blimpy said...

I have added to the 'Spill blogroll!

Ejay & Shoey - Cheers!

Steen - good spot. Mrs Frod was very contrite and added it as soon as she could... The pics are mainly of MiniFrod and our nieces. Emily is my wife and Sarah is her sister. Don't think there's any pics of me on there, but then I wouldn't admit to it if there were ;-)

Blimpo - we are thinking of using names of Spillers, but as yet haven't picked the perfect one. And cheers for the bogroll add!

Now everyone go and visit the blog, they're nearly at 2000 visitors so this should push them past.

Congrats, Mr & Mrs Frod. You'll be needing to buy a sky blue bib and baby suit next time you're up at Eastlands then.

I was due at Christmas but managed to hold on in there for two weeks (or a year late as I like to think of it). That way I managed to be late enough to avoid the dreaded 'Joint Birthday Present'

@gordon - I remember we got MiniFrod in a bib and got a picture in the programme for a match. They put the wrong name on it. Gutted.

If it is born on Christmas Day, we have already decided to have a separate, Queen's Birthday style event later in the year. Its only fair, like.

Snadfrod!!! Excellent news - congratulations - the equalising child!

Whatever you call him or her, I dare you to give them the middle name 'Spill (with apostrophe of course). Go on - you know you want to ...

I figured that's what the thread title must have meant as soon as I saw it.

Let me add my public congrats to the Snadfrod family.

Darcey was due on Christmas Eve, but in an early display of stubborn independence, decided she liked the position she had inside DarceysMam and refused to turn around for the evac! The hospital told us in no uncertain terms they weren't prepared to have a hopelessly complicated and drawn out birth scheduled for the Holidays, "so which of these three dates ( before the your due date) would you like your caesarean on?" We chose the earliest! That gave all the relatives just over a week of shopping time before Christmas, and DarceysMam & I an excuse not to go into the kitchen all day on the 25th. Damn, I love my mother-in-law . . . if you see what I mean!

Anyway, point is ... it won't be Bang Goes Christmas, it'll be The Christmas Of All Christmasses, and I'm looking forward to you telling us all about it.

Congratulations Snadfrod!

It'll be an end of year 'Spill baby rush, what with SatanKidneyPie expecting not too far from then too........hmm.....it's going to give Mrs Japanther ideas!

Cheers 'pus and BB!

Toffee - equalising child? You're not thinking of parenting as some kind of a contest, are you?... And as for a name, how does ToffeeMcFlahsDad E. J. 'Spill Snadfrod sound? Cheers!

DsD - thanks for the reassignment of fear/joy. We also reckong there's little or no chance of an actual festive birth, but stranger things have happened...

Barbryn - Thank you sir, but I only have a picture, you have the real product!

Panther - cheers! It really will be getting busy round here soon, won't it? When SKP mentioned his the other week we said exactly the same thing. Panther cubs?...

YES, (yet) another Capricorn for t'Spill on his or her way - very exciting news! Congratulations!

Big congrats to the Frod family. We're off for the 20-week scan tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get a better picture than last time as the little bugger wouldn't sit still and pose. We could find out the sex tomorrow, but I think we'll manage to resist temptation.

Japanthere - go on, you know you want to.

And big congrats to Barbyn too. God, the 'Spill's in the middle of a baby boom to rival the 60s. Could these be the Generation ' kids?

steenbeck said...

Snadfrod--minifrod is beautiful! She looks so happy. And what a lucky child to have a chocolate-coated life.

DarceysDad said...

@ SKP - "...could these be the Generation ' kids?"

Could be, but how would you pronounce it?

(i) "Generation [glottal stop] kids", or
(ii) "Generation diacritic apostrophe kids"?

Hmmm, maybe not, eh?

snadfrod said...

Thank you all for your kindness.

Steen - she really is a bit gorgeous, isn't she? Cheers.

SKP - Mrs Frod is a bit jealous. Hope it all goes well (although we fully intend to find out the sex. Far too much else to worry about...).

Debby - I don't know about those things, is Capricorn good?

DsD - I like the glottal stop version. Satisfying to say.

SatanKidneyPie said...

DsD - personally I like the Generation diacritic apostrophe kids... it has a certain ring to it, and serves as a reminder of the importance of good grammar and punctuation.

debbym said...

Snadfrod, dunno about *good*, but capricorn is (as I recall) Shoey, gordonimmel, ToffeeBoy, ShivSidecar, debbym, the 'Spill itself, have I missed anybody out?

ToffeeBoy said...

@ debbym - Jesus?

Fab blog Snad, lovely pics of food and kiddies! Congratulations on the littlest addition, it is getting very mumsy/popsy in here!

Oh, many congratulations and Nanoo Nanoo, or something suitable.

It was cruel to post those pictures of chocolate, I've been doing so well and have lost half a stone ... now I'm going to have to seek out sprog's Smarties (just one ... mmmm)

snadfrod said...

@Ali - sorry about that. Occupational hazard, as Mrs Frod always says. But smarties are good for you, aren't they? Especially the orange ones...

Luke-sensei said...

ahh....one cub would be nice, but I think Mrs J is more of a career woman.....

debbym said...

Jesus? Must've missed his post, TB.

Belated congratulations snadfrod. If it's the second, be warned that they seem to arrive more quickly than the first !
