Love these! A mate just posted it up on another forum: album covers re-imagined as Pelican classics. Thought I'd share it. It's all in the details, which are quite brilliantly done. I particularly liked Spiritualized Ladies And Gentlemen We're Floated In Space: a dedicated self-help book.

You have to be of A Certain Age to get the most out of these.
This is a real 'un: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51uoh9EWESL._SL500_AA240_.jpg
Cheers, Shiv. There was me feeling like one of the young kids on the block round these parts ;-)
For the record, I don't remember the original books (oh no, not me, no sirree bob, honest guv) and just appreciate the design aspect and skill that has gone into recreating them. Or something.
Yeah, right. ;-)

Not sure why that got posted twice??
@ BBeat - thanks for sharing these. I love the designs - some fantastic ideas here. And I really like the way that the shape of the covers (ie square) makes them feel a bit 'odd' as you expect them to be book shaped! It makes you feel a bit uncomfortable looking at them - they're not quite what you expect. Or is that just me?
I'd like them even more if they were book shaped.
The "house style" idea is one we need to keep in mind for 'Spillharmonic, for deffo.
See Blimp I love these being square, as I once came up with this idea for paper backs that - quite literally- stood out on the book shelves.
You also didn't have to crack the spine, because the printed words were still the same layout as a normal paper back.
As usual no-one took up my genius design idea!!!!
