Spring songs

Steen: Two things, I'm having a problem playing the Nina cut, it gets about 40 secs in and then quits and goes to the Carter cut, I've tried about three times.
I can't believe it but I've never heard that Nina song before and I thought I knew everything she'd recorded!

Hmmm, I'm not sure, goneforeign. If you can't get it to work let me know and I'll podbean it. I was quite excited about imeem, because it's really pretty quick and simple, but if it's not working, it's still no good.

It's a damn shame because the first 40sec don't give a complete picture of the song. It really takes flight halfway through.

Yeah, she hasn't even gotten to spring yet by then, she's still singing about winter. It works for me, though. Do the other songs play for you goneforeign? It's a mystery to me.

Actually I think I have the same problem, at least for the first 2. It looks like they're only playing samples.

I tried posting the Nina Simone separately. Does that work for anyone?

nope just the 30 second sample..

I did worry about this when I finally got in.. there was something said about letting people listen, is there an ok bit for spill 'friends' so they can get the whole song?
only a guess... I know nothing about this techno lark!

I looked in imeem help--until they get clearance from the record company you'll only be able to hear 30 sec. samples. I'll podbean the Simone tomorrow.

Back to podbean, everyone. Hope these work.

That's better, that piano opener is a bit abstract for Nina, I haven't heard her do that before. I'd never heard this song before so I googled it: Nina + Piano
Product Description
2001 reissue includes tracks left over from the original 1969 album which Nina regarded as the album she most wanted to be remembered for.
I've got a fair stack of her vinyl but not that one, I used to buy anything with her name on it. When I met her I asked her about which albums she had and which were favorites, she answered very coldly " I don't have any of my albums" That topic died right there.
Thanks for posting it.
