tfd: Many years ago I watched a 'Nature' documentary that has stayed with me, It concerned the Oxford wildlife film unit. They noticed a duck had built a nest in tree and wondered how the mother got the chicks down to the ground when the time came, so they set up a camera/tripod close by and had a crew on 24hour duty awaiting the magic moment, days went by. One day the cameraman sitting bored saw a pair of swans coming in for a perfect landing on the river right in front of him, he swung the camera round and got the perfect piece of swan film and at that moment he heard this quack, quack quack and looked back and saw momma and 5 chicks swimming around right under the tree! A year went by and they repeated the entire operation and this time were successful, they filmed mother duck pushing the kids over the side and them toppling down into the river!

That's fine if there's a river underneath...
