I love this!

I heard this song on the radio yesterday, and I thought it was Sir Lord Comic. Turns out it's Big Youth...

But while I was looking for it I found this new-to-me Sir Lord Comic track...

I've only ever been able to find a few Sir Lord Comic tracks, but I love them all.

Saneshane, what happened to your shopping playlist? It was there, wasn't it? Why can't I find it? Am I crazy?

it seems to have disappeared!
grocer's apostrophes' have been stolen... humff.

You didn't do it? Very very strange. I can't think how it could have happened.
We're having a rainy lego & play-doh day, and I wanted to catch up on some listening. Shoot...

Has google been at it again?

"Sir Lord"? So nice, they titled him twice!

Steen: Love Big Youth, his voice hasn't changed but he's aging gracefully like meself, we share the grey whiskers. He's a lovely bloke, real genuine.

I thought you'd know of him/know him, GF! I just love this track--that horn interlude in the middle kills me. Do you know anything about Sir Lord Comic? There's not a lot of information about him, and as I mentioned I can only find a few tracks. Apparently he did the first every deejayed track (ska-ing West) but I can only find a hard-to-listen to version on youTube.

sorry steen,
no it wasn't me and it would have made a good rainy day a play-doh soundtrack.
I should have left the Bran Van in the first post.. because I'm sure that is the only connection to my first boxstr account being frozen.. what ever happened to boxtr eh? I can even remember how to spell it!

the tracks did get into the dropbox.. but it's a bit late now.

I did some Sir Lord Comic searching but failed to come up with much when you posted before.
We'll have to try harder.

Steen: I don't know much about Sir Lord, he's before my time though I think he was involved with Scratch, sorry.

Apologies to Bran Van 3000 (and it got in the B-list! those nasty gurus know how to keep me on my fix - I even went to bed before it went live last night so I didn't get hooked in)

Yah boo sucks to Chicks on Speed for getting the post deleted.

Perhaps we should publish a blacklist & a cool list on the main page?

Oh, & the man in question was one of the original DJ's (1960ish) along with The Selector & others. "Live the life you love, love the life you live". Not much original stuff on vinyl as he predates it. 2 Badcard & Dub Syndicate have borrowed/sampled/updated some of his stuff. Can dig some out for you if you want?
