Shoe: LA's my town, lived there for about 45 years, I like it a lot, it offers so much. There's them that don't, it's quite common here to sneer at LA, to call it tinseltown but that probably comes from folk enjoying the charms of Detroit or Cleveland or similar. Every New Years day there's the Rose Bowl football game, televised nationally, usually it's about 75 degrees, perfect blue sky, sun is shining whilst everywhere else in the US they're having arctic blizzards; who wouldn't be envious and want to come here.

Hey GF, it's the orange bowl here but the weather is similar. Post a home town pic if you get a chance. Still need your mailing address so I can pass on DsD's memory stick of rr social tunes - my e-mail's in the profile. Anyway, thanks for stopping in.

I played this afternoon determined to comment - I think I've been slack lately with your playlists (I've listened but not commented) - then I ended up in a 'YOU'RE NOT LISTENING' rant to do with some marketing.

So I listened again.. and again, and again.. because it was helping my head state. Thank You cool stuff again.

I was touched by your T-shirt comment in GFs question thread by the way.
(I've given up at the moment.. test designs for DsD have just failed.. so my computer and printer are going to have an industrial clean when I get back from holiday. cos it's pissing me off so much.. it doesn't induce a calm creative vibe)
That's a long winded .. still listening, still liking.

Evening gents.

@ goneforeign - when you sent me your postal address, I had my previous computer, which is now in several hundred pieces courtesy of a lumphammer! I did back up those files to an external hard drive, but this PC won't open that file, so I can't send you anything, and I can't give Shoey your address.

If you email me of him, I'm sure he'll post you the music tout de suite thereafter.

Shane, glad you liked, nearly included some new Casiotone, but it didn't seem right, left some Shack on the shelf for DsD also. Think West Palm was nicked from a fellow 'Spiller, but can't figure out who. Quite enjoy the weekly theme as a means of rediscovering some stuff, so it doesn't really matter if nobody shows up, but it's much better if they do. Have a good holiday.

Darce, any chance of some help with figuring out who's who & what's what on the rr stick? Might be able to tag it before passing along.

Darce: Shoey: I'll get in it right away, thanks....T.

Like the Vegas track most here- who is this?
I also enjoy my visits to L.A., mostly because my brother always orders fantastic sushi..

Newtown sounds like Lizzy Mercier Descloux singing?

Nilp. Glad you liked it as I stuck it on with you in mind, as recent themes haven't lent themselves to much in your taste zone. It's a remix of 23 Skidoo.

EJD. Know not of whom you speak, but this is Ari Up & the rest of The Slits from Cut, way back in 1979. Ari reformed the band a couple of years ago.

You might like her, Shoey, I'll put the 3 songs I have in the dropbox, just cause I can. Meanwhile I included Band Apart's Marseille with you in mind too.

Oh and thanks for St Augustine, it's my discovery of the weekend!

there was a photo of Lizzy Mercier Descloux in b&w - wooden floor, bare foot next to a Russian flag - I think I really liked it.
But can't remember any music..

That's very considerate of you Shoey, true too that I've had a bit of a lean time with recent themes. Vegas El B kicked off my RR spilldond trip splendidly.. will have to look up some 23 Skidoo, I think shane might have posted some of their stuff before too..
